MG 34
M1934, 1:3
The MG34 was designed as a portable light/medium machine gun for infantry cover, anti-aircraft support, and even sniper capabilities. At the time, its combination of exceptional mobility (it could be carried by one man) and high rate of fire (up to 900 rounds per minute) was unrivaled. This machine gun was adopted by the Wehrmacht in 1936. It could also be used as a hand-held weapon with a bipod and was deservedly considered one of the best machine guns used during World War II (1939 – 1945).
