Mosin-Nagant
M1891/30, SCALE 1:3
In 1931, a sniper version was produced for the Red Army. It was equipped with a 4x PE telescopic sight, which was replaced during World War II by a more compact, simple, and easy-to-manufacture 3.5x PE. To make the fire noiseless and flameless, some rifles were equipped with a suppressor developed by the Mitin brothers in 1927. With this device, also known as “Bramit” (derived from “Mitin brothers” in Russian), the rifle required ammunition with reduced load and subsonic bullet velocity. Because of its short life span, the Bramit was not widely used.
During the Great Patriotic War (1941 – 1945) the common Mosin-Nagant rifle was issued to every Soviet infantryman.
The miniature model is equipped with a PU scope and «Bramit» suppressor.
