VSS

This weapon is designed to fire special SP-5 ammunition and hit targets silently. Capable of both single shots and bursts, the rifle is in service with special purpose units of the Russian Armed Forces, Federal Security Service, and Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is also known as “Vintorez”, after the code assigned to it during the engineering period. The rifle was designed by engineer Pyotr Serdyukov. Due to the availability of various sights and high striking power, the VSS can inflict casualties, regardless of enemy soldiers’ protective equipment, at a range of up to 400 meters.
