German firm Mauser manufactured a limited-edition series of 7.63mm hunting long-barreled Mauser pistol-caliber carbines prior to the First World War. A total
of some 120 pieces of these original pistol-caliber carbines were manufactured. They were used as valuable gifts on solemn occasions. Mauser presented such weapon
to Kaiser Wilhelm II and Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria.
This miniature model has a conventional flower design and decorated with a wild boar head and a mountain goat head engraved in 24K gold. An ornament with
a deer head image in the center is engraved in 24K gold on the heel .
