Karl Donitz used such pistol as sidearm during the First World War, who later was promoted to Grand Admiral (Groadmiral) of the Naval High Command and Commander-in-Chief of the Navy (Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine) in Nazi Germany.
The miniature model of the pistol is decorated with golden threads.
