This weapon was developed after the death of Samuel Colt. The first 8000 revolvers were ordered for the American Cavalry in 1873. Furthermore, this model of revolvers was
open for sale and widely used by those who conquered the Wild West.
Four basic modifications of the revolver were manufactured, which differed between each other in barrel length and names. Scaut and Buntline were the shortest-barreled and
longest-barreled modifications, respectively. A shoulder stock could be easily attached to shoot long-range targets.
